Welcome to Aikikai Valencia's website.
Aikikai Valencia is an Aikido Association located established in 1995 in Valencia directed by José Conde, Sandan Aikikai. Since 1992, this group has been practicing in several dojos (Sport Muscle, Esportiu Ready, Lluita, Esportiu Valencia), with incorporations of aikidokas with great practical and human quality, attending to all kind of aikido's events even beyond Valencia region.
As a result of such a long practice and the numerous experiences carried away, Aikikai Valencia forms a consolidated Aikido group, always receptive to new incorporations and foreign relationships. Aikikai Valencia has two Dojos:
- Headquarters, Esportiu Valencia, located in Valencia.
- Branch, Yoko Kan Dojo, located in Almussafes.
Aikikai Valencia is a branch association of Asociación Cultural Aikikai Fundación Canarias (ACAFC). ACAFC does a rigorous level control of Aikikai Valencia's aikidokas. ACAFC suggests, for example, the grading test of black belt (Yudansha) with recognition of Aikikai Hombu Dojo. This possibility of obtaining yudansha with recognition from the Aikikai, Hombu Dojo is an important stimulus for Aikikai Valencia's aikidokas. The logical compensation of being an Aikikai degree is the requirement of a strict work with high quality and spirit.
Inside of Aikikai Valencia, the figure of Mr. John Rogers Sensei, Shihan Aikikai and President of Ireland Aikido Federation, is very important. Mr. John Rogers is the technical director of ACAFC. The prominent technical and personal level of Mr. Rogers is a key factor needed for Aikikai Valencia.
